The most disappointing part of the NFL draft weekend is right after it’s over. It’s like this big build-up to ….well, no actual climax. The weekend ends and draftniks everywhere write articles declaring “winners” and “losers” of the draft.

Since we are at the halfway point of the NFL season, I figured this would be the ideal time to give out mid-season awards and pro bowl selections. Yes you read the last part of that sentence correctly, pro bowl selections too.

By week 9, losing teams fall into two categories. In the first category there’s teams that still won’t admit a season is a lost cause. The Chargers, Jags, Vikings, and Bengals are still approaching the 2010 season as if they’re potential playoff teams (throw the Niners in there too, their owner says so).

It seems like everyone is writing articles on MVP candidates through the first six weeks of the season so I have decided to follow suit.
