You knew it was only a matter of time before the NFLPA fired back with a response to Roger Goodell’s lame letter that he sent to the NFLPA on Thursday urging players to pressure NFLPA leadership to agree to come back to the “bargaining table.”

Jerry Jones thought he could somehow intimidate the players and the key decision makers of the NFLPA by saying, “I Guess We’re Going To Have To Show You To Get Your Attention.”

The league threw its first jab at the NFLPA through the media by releasing a copy of the final proposal for a new CBA that the NFLPA turned down and Drew Brees fired back on Monday.

According to a letter the NFLPA received yesterday, it seems as if the league was going to lockout the players by 12:00a.m. of March 12th regardless of decertification.

This Labor issue comes down to one thing, everyone wants more money. And since football is America’s sport then why not make another sport out of the talks!
According to Philadelphia Eagles 2010 first round pick Brandon Graham who received $14 million in guaranteed money, has had several Eagles rookies come to him and ask him for a loan.

This is great! The owners and players have called in a mediator to help the labor talks along. Now we can finally get things moving!

By now we are all aware of the death and suicide of ex-Chicago Bear Dave Duerson. As an ex player I write this story with a heavy heart, having experienced this tragedy before with a former teammate, Andre Waters. I struggle to understand the how and why of it all.

I grew up the son of a proud union man. He was never one to just pull the party line without considering things himself. When push came to shove if the Union said they were going to do something be it strike, walk out, etc… My father was there doing what was asked of him [...]

So in the past few weeks I’ve gotten asked by my girl friends what these labor talks are about and here is my take…the owners who make millions/billions at not only NFL football but also other pursuits (that put them in the financial position to buy the team) want more money.
