The Oregon Ducks have 2,568 uniform combinations and they figured that they needed one more for when they face the Auburn Tigers in the BCS National Championship game on January 10th.
Being that Nike makes Oregon’s uniforms and they are an Oregon based company with its founder Phil Knight, a Oregon graduate. The Ducks didn’t have to go far to get new unis and Nike were more than willing to create something special for the Oregon football team.
Today at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas a special event hosted by Nike was held to unveil not only the new BCS Championship game uniforms for the Ducks, but also uniforms for TCU, Boise State and Florida.
Designer Todd Van Horne talked about creating uniforms that would maximize the speed of the players after consulting with Ducks head coach Chip Kelly.
Van Horne –
“We worked with him and designed something that will actually look like blur on the field.”
From looking at the pics I can’t say if they will look like a blur or not but they do look fairly decent.
Out of the 2,569 uniform combinations that they now have, its maybe one of the more favorable ones.
