Lil Wayne Pays Homage to the Packers w/ “Black & Yellow” Remix Called “Green & Yellow”

Ever since Diddy invented the remix years ago, anytime a hot new song comes out you can always count on someone to do a remix.

Well in an attempt to show his love and let everyone know that he is a Green Bay Packers fan. (Really? Since when?) The Gremlin, err I mean Lil Wayne has done a remix of Wiz Khalifa’s hit song and Pittsburgh Steelers anthem “Black and Yellow.”

Weezy’s version is called “Green and Yellow” and to be honest with you it’s not one of the best songs that he has ever done.

However like most songs that aren’t too great, it does grow on you.

The crafty lyrics are somewhat entertaining, however unlike most of his songs, especially his remixes, this one falls way short of being anything worthwhile playing in your car or iPod on a regular basis. Well unless you are a Packers fan.

Despite the song’s semi lameness, I can almost guarantee that you will hear this song being played over and over at Lambeau Field next year. That will be a good thing though considering every time I have been there it seems like they only own and play four songs before, during and after the game.
