The best Los Angeles Lakers team in ten years is hurting for a legit big man and rumor is that they are actively looking for one despite the fact that Rihanna’s alleged boyfriend Andrew Bynum is coming back next week.
With Theo “Is he really still in the league?” Ratliff out for the next four to six weeks the Lakers definitely don’t have the luxury of waiting and depending on the injury plagued Bynum to provide a low post presence for them.
Erick Dampier and Jake Voskuhl are supposedly on their list, however Dampier wants a long term deal which is why Houston rescinded their offer to Dampier two weeks ago. Houston realized that the words “Erick Dampier and long-term deal” don’t go together in the same sentence.
With Voskuhl you don’t know what you are getting with him since he hasn’t played in the league in two years.
L.A. has an open roster slot and the cash to get another big man despite them having the leagues largest payroll in the league.
Personally I think L.A. could do much better than Dampier and Voskuhl. Those two guys really don’t fit their system nor are good big men defensively.
